ABSTRACT:
A pre-experimental study to assess the effectiveness of workshop on knowledge regarding universal health coverage: everyone, everywhere among participants from Punjab state was conducted in Bhai Gurdas Nursing College, Patiala, Punjab. Objective: The main objective was to assess the effectiveness of workshop regarding knowledge about universal health coverage: everyone and everywhere among participants from Punjab state. Method: A quantitative evaluative research approach, pre-experimental one group pretest and post test design was used. The sample size was 33 B. Sc (Nsg.) IV year students, selected using convenient sampling technique. A self structured knowledge assessment based questionnaire performa was used to test the pre-existing level of knowledge regarding use of an attending workshop, thereupon on the same day, post test performa regarding knowledge of attending workshop on universal health coverage was conferred and the post test was conducted by researchers. Result: The result of the study revealed that there was a significant difference between mean pre-test (6.90) and post-test scores (8.51), it denotes that there was significant increase in knowledge level after intervention. Conclusion: The study concluded that the workshop was effective and beneficial in enhancing knowledge of nursing students about universal health coverage.
