ABSTRACT:
A descriptive study with cross sectional survey approach was carried out among 25 Patients were selected by purposive sampling technique and data were collected by using using semi structured interview schedule and questionnaire. The demographic variables of the findings show that higher (68%) percentages of patients were between the age group of above 55 years. Higher (60%) percentages of patients were males. Higher (48%) percentage of patients had no formal education. Most of them (88%) were married highest (52%) of them had family history of diabetes mellitus. The overall mean percentage score was (37.77%) revealed that the patients had average knowledge on NIDDM.
