ABSTRACT:
There are use of defibrillation the staff nurses have less knowledge about the defibrillation. Present study is aimed to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme regarding defibrillation among the nurses in selected hospitals at bhilwara, Rajasthan. 60 samples were selected using Non probability purposive sampling technique. The findings revealed that In pre test (88.33%) respondents were found with poor level of knowledge whereas with post test 21.67% of the respondents had poor knowledge level, 11.67% respondents had good knowledge level in the pre test whereas in post test it was 75.00%, there were no respondents found with excellent knowledge in pre test whereas in post test level of excellent respondents was improved to 3.33%. The study concluded that there was significant improvement in the level of knowledge of regarding defibrillation among the nurses. which indicated that the STP was found effective. The study also revealed that there was a significant association between pre test knowledge scores with selected socio demographic variables. Hence this kind of STP can be conducted from time to time for Nurses so that their knowledge can be improved for defibrillation.
