ABSTRACT:
The objective of the review is to identify the need to understand the importance of the Impact of global warming on human health. The various research papers were reviewed to understand the extent of human health affected by the change in the climate. The rise in the average temperature of earth has been described as global warming which is mainly attributed to the increasing phenomenon of the greenhouse effect. It is believed that global warming can have several harmful effects on human health, both directly and indirectly. As the incidence of various health problems are occurring due to Climate change which threatens the human health, including mental health, and access to clean air, safe drinking water, nutritious food, and shelter.
The recent reports proposed that the human activity is the main reason for the rising temperatures which has increase between 2.5 to 10.4 degrees over the next century. Temperatures climbed just 1.2 degrees between 1901 and 2005. And the global warming is also contributing to rising sea levels around the world. The report predicts that sea levels will rise between 7 and 23 inches by 2100. It warns that levels will continue to rise for the next 1,000 years. Hence we need to speak out to spread the facts regarding the ill effects of global warming – the climate change on human health. As the nurses are the main source for promoting public health, need to educate every person about it.
